Bryan Martz

President of National Security Group

Bryan Martz is the President of National Security Group. 

Bryan’s more than 35 years of military, DoD and Intelligence community experience comprised service as a military intelligence officer, leader, and Project Manager within the DoD acquisition community. He has experience leading software development, system engineering, and field sustainment and support within the Intelligence Community. Prior to joining Varen, Bryan spent four years as a Vice President at Sotera Defense Solutions (subsequently Jacobs), nine years with Booz Allen Hamilton and 20 years on active duty, supporting all aspects of the U.S. Army Military Intelligence mission.

Originally from Iowa, Bryan now lives on Cypress Creek in Severna Park, Maryland. He enjoys spending time with his wife, his children, his grandchildren and his three dogs. He is a lifetime Chicago Bears fan, but pulls for local teams including the Washington Capitals and Baltimore Orioles. An avid boater and fisherman, Bryan spends much of the boating season with his family and friends on and about the Chesapeake Bay. He is an advocate for the Chesapeake Bay and an active board member with the Chesapeake Bay Sport Fishing Association (CBSFA) focused upon maintaining the Bay as a national treasure.


Bryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technologies with a focus upon Telecommunications Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering Management, both from Thomas Edison State College. He also has completed graduate course work at George Washington University in the field of Telecommunications Engineering Technologies.
